Probably a union thing. NIPSCo is electric and gas. County or city does roads.I like how NIPSCO tossed a little cold mix in their repair on Wisconsin near Speedway and ran away. Now they've got a nice crater there.

Don’t understand why they can’t pre fab the smaller bridges ahead of time, demo and prep the old, drop in the new. Be done in a week or two.4 more days is how long I can use hwy 32 near me.
After the fourth of March they are replacing a bridge and it will be just closed. Yay.
It will take me probably 30-40 extra minutes to get to Turkey run or Shades. sigh.
They can. Problem is that typically when it gets to a point that the superstructure has to be replaced, the substructure needs a lot of work as well. Additionally, the bridge on Wisconsin is getting raised and I believe lengthened as well. Those two reconfigurations make the existing substructure inadequate, so it must be rebuilt.Don’t understand why they can’t pre fab the smaller bridges ahead of time, demo and prep the old, drop in the new. If we did not need to grovel to the Federal government for hwy funds...well maybe it would be. In 2020 Indiana used the least federal funds of any state, accepting just 1% of funds offered(all for I69). 2024 we are accepting much more. Toss in an executive order and well no one wants to reduce costs, especially labor cost.Don’t understand why they can’t pre fab the smaller bridges ahead of time, demo and prep the old, drop in the new. So that's why Kevin is so skinnyTime to get most everyone in an uproar, the only time I make bacon is for the cupcakes.
Hobarts goal is a roundabout at every intersection on 61st aveI don't even see how there is room for this.
Yep.Roundabouts are more convenient than a stop sign or a light when used properly. The worst thing about them is people who are unsure of how to use them. There is a new roundabout on 231 in front of the new CP Franciscan hospital, and there were so many people in the CP Facebook groups saying "What if there is an emergency? How will we get to the hospital now?" I said "You will look to your left and if there is no one coming, turn right." It's SO complicated....
Valparaiso has there share of roundabouts. I hate em, peoples driving habits these days suck. Now throw a roundabout into the mix.Roundabouts are more convenient than a stop sign or a light when used properly. The worst thing about them is people who are unsure of how to use them. The diameter to the traffic circle is determined by the traffic volume and the desired speed entering and transiting the circle. People have difficulty evaluating the speed and distance of oncoming traffic. The speed is intentionally kept low in order to reduce that challenge. But, it's still a challenge for a lot of drivers. It's hard enough on straight sections with a cross and T intersection, then toss a circle in and look out.Yep.
I biggest critique is that they make many of them too small. Of course, some of that is trying to fit them into areas where they were not designed to be.
Maybe to the Vet's office tooWoke up to a sick dog today. She has had to go outside like ever 20 minutes.
I called, was actually able to speak with a nice vet. She asked me three questions.Maybe to the Vet's office too
I actually agree with this. The best way to reduce a child's unsupervised access to firearms is to reduce the number of children.
Let them get high on pot, shoot themselves and then drop them into a lined coal ash pit so they don't decay and leech into the groundwater.I actually agree with this. The best way to reduce a child's unsupervised access to firearms is to reduce the number of children.
Win-winLet them get high on pot, shoot themselves and then drop them into a lined coal ash pit so they don't decay and leech into the groundwater.
