Did see that and it was tempting but needs compressed air (at the start) and power.

Don't have a compressor. :( did not get to keep that.

The garage does have power but would prefer to not use power.

But with the spare money jedi can still buy lego and ammo. :)
I have a car lift, a set of jack stands, 2 rolling floor jacks, a pneumatic jack stand, compressor and air tools. Could have just showed up down here and got it all done. The raccoon army would have pitched in a few furry hands to help you out in exchange for a ride north to Thugland

When fords come in for PTU's what's your procedure? Like where do you buy them from?
It depends. I use Transtar for 95% of my reman units (various options as transtar doesn't actually remanufacture) and parts in general. All of them offer 3yr/100k warranty.

I really don't like to install used units unless can verify extremely low mileage and vehicle was totalled via wreck. If I can't get reman unit thru 1 of the 3 suppliers I do use, it's going to be thru the dealer, but to be honest I really don't see a lot of Ford/Lincoln PTU failures. Maybe 3-5 per year
