The one in highland on indy did not look like that with all that glass? It was a "dark inside" with a large project screen in the center dining area with rows or seats. At least that is what jedi recalls.

A small arcade area in the back after the buffet area and the seating area closest to the entrance was raised and had booths and carpet.

If you sat in the booths you could see the people/buffet section as well.

I am neither confirming, nor denying, that I was in the Highland Shakey's at age 17

jedi has vague memories of the place.
jedi dad's bald friend loved the place and taking us all there. It would be about 4 families (11 kids, 8 adults).

the server would bring those plastic pitchers with cola and clear pop to the table. We had to go up to get the pizza, salad and they had hot food (chicken, fries, mash potatoes) right?

Was there music? Or live bands?
jedi does recall smoke. Lots of smoke as indoor smoking was allowed.

When I worked at the grocery store a friend and I would take our hour lunch break there and have a couple of pitchers.
If they had music I don't know.

Maybe jedi is confusing "celebration station" animitronics with music at shakeys.

Never did like those "robots" at celebration station.

Took the kids to see Hip Hop Nutcracker today at the Cadillac theater. Was fun but not what I was expecting. Did a quick lap around the Christkindlmarket before heading to dinner at Jojo’s Shake Bar holiday popup. Now the kids are sleeping and I get to relax on the couch.

I'm still home with an elevated foot post-surgery but the lovely Mrs_Bob took foster son Kobe to the FourWinds Casino venue for the Cirque deSoliel Christmas show this evening. They should be home soon.
