Based upon what?I always was told Meijer had junk gas.
I watched the BP truck (which has to remain anonymous with no advertising) roll out of Costco and stop at Meijer. Unless that changed, they still are contracted.I always was told Meijer had junk gas.

I Can't even remember who/where. But when I first started driving (2004) I was told that Meijer and Costco had "watered down" gas or it caused car engine failures etc. To this day, I have never refueled there. It Could not be true whatsoever, but it stuck with me.I watched the BP truck (which has to remain anonymous with no advertising) roll out of Costco and stop at Meijer. Hello there.Hey gang
Decades ago before I knew her, my wife had fuel system issues and took her car in for service. The technician attributed it to her most recent fill up at a Marathon station. To this day, she will not buy Marathon gas. If I put it in her car, I don't tell her about it.I took a dislike to Shell 45 years ago, and have never used them since. Can't even remember why.
.
I had a friend that filled up Amaco @ Burr & 30.That's a rumor that pops up every once in a while but most gas stations get their gas from a small handful of companies. Usually that crap starts because one particular station had water leak into the underground tanks or something and news spreads as if it was the whole brand.
Hey gang
I have been lurking.
Doctor Smith's line when confronted.
That happens every once in a while, but for overall general "gas quality" for cars that use regular 87 octane, that is, just the quality of the gas, not a one-off contamination situation, I get gas anywhere and everywhere and can't tell the difference. Heck, I even get gas at Go Lo in Hammond, and that's as sketchy as they come. Never had a fuel-related problem.I had a friend that filled up Amaco @ Burr & 30.
As he drove away, his truck stalled before he got out of the station.
Water leak in storage tank was the reason and Amoco paid for his and several others.
You've got more chance of getting shot at GoLo than getting bad gas. That happens every once in a while, but for overall general "gas quality" for cars that use regular 87 octane, that is, just the quality of the gas, not a one-off contamination situation, I get gas anywhere and everywhere and can't tell the difference.
