My mom and dad paid almost exactly the same for the house I grew up in as the lumber for that deck cost.Never thought I'd see the day when a wood deck would cost as much as the whole house. Frickin lumber prices are insane.
The house I grew up in in south Crown Point cost my parents $16,500. Now Zillow has it ranging from $203K-$233K.My mom and dad paid almost exactly the same for the house I grew up in as the lumber for that deck cost.
I could be. What time? I can contribute some 9mm and/or .22lr ammo.Might go to Shoot Point Blank tomorrow.
Anyone up for that?
BbbuurrrnnnnOk but you're like a million years old so like a box of cereal today costs as much as the horse and buggy you used to get around.
Truth can not burn, the light of truth only illuminates.Bbbuurrrnnnn

Edit: I also have plenty of targets.
I've worked on the HK45 and the 556 and need to send some rounds. The HK45C is new and I need to get used to it.@Doug28450

Makes me wonder why President Nixon took the US Dollar off the 'gold standard' by decoupling our currency from gold. The Federal Reserve has been in charge ever since and both slow creeping inflation and rapid (Jimmy Carter era) inflation have combined to kills our savings and raise the prices of raw materials.Good morning all y'all.
In '65, my dad built a 2000 sq ft brick mansion with full basement and 3 wooded acres for $29k. He and friends did much of the work, and my mom worried about the $160 monthly note. He sold it in '95 for $162k.
Makes today seem like the twilight zone.
.
Ive heard more than one Veteran say they are bothered by people saying "Happy Memorial Day" to them....Memorial Day weekend ... lots of beer, picnics, games and a big race in Indianapolis.
This is how my Uncle Al celebrates, and has been celebrating this way since he was a teenager. He was my mom's brother. Buried in a military cemetery in northern France, been there since the US invaded France to free it from the Nazis.
Probably should spend a few moments this weekend realizing that a lot of American's gave up their lives to keep us free.
