Certain neighborhoods of Detroit are being gentrified with young millennials moving into new housing there. For example, a young engineer who used to work at my plant moved back home to Michigan last year and has a new apartment inside a renovated factory near old Tiger Stadium. It's a start but I would hardly say Detroit has turned around. The city lost so much population over the years that they had to abandon entire sections of the city by shutting off utilities and no longer providing services in those areas.I hadn't heard that Detroit got turned around.
