I asked my griever about it like the week after it happened and he said not to say anything until I go in for my callback medical appointment. *Shrug*

As soon as you're out, you should contact the dispensary, talk to the case worker they have that walks you through everything.
    She'll send you the paperwork.
    Fill out your part.
    Take to doctor to finish.
Doc will mail or fax a copy to Pittsburgh.
Have the doc make you a copy in case their copy gets lost.
It will take a couple weeks to start the pay.
But it will be back payed to time of injury.

You are paid by the week.
So you lose pay the week you are injured.
And if/when you come back, you will lose that partial week also.

The mill will also send you paperwork for government disability.
If you are on sick pay a LONG time, they want you to file.
I think it was.. file at 4 months, so the slow government can decide by 6 months.

They do that because they want to reduce what they pay.
If the government turns it down, they have to keep paying same amount.
If government accepts, or you DON'T file, they will reduce your check.

    It's already reduced.
Something like 60 percent pay, of a 40 hour week.
    No Sunday or holiday pay.
    No averaging overtime.

I get how it normally works but I've been laid off since May. I would think that kinda complicates things. Plus up until this week unemployment paid more.

Since you were on unemployment, I don't know.
    I didn't factor that in.
If I get laid off, the entire mill would have to be down.

It's cool. I can always go up to our hall, there's usually one of the higher up union guys like the president or treasurer hanging around who could point me in the right direction if the benefits lady isn't in.

And we are now 4.5 months into c-virus so makes jedi wonder what occurs come mid aug when we hit the 5 month mark at work.
Don't know about your work, but I work in IT (Network Engineer) and we've had a major fiber cut every day this week. If we have an ATT line get cut today we complete the set

You guys are so lucky! Jedi ALMOST had to go south of us30 today. ALMOST!! Luckly for ya, jedi only was on US30 and ONLY for short bit of time on the south side of the street. The fresh air was mixed with the good polluted air so jedi could breath somewhat.

Now jedi is back in the good part of lake county. All is normal now. :p
