I just keep asking myself, if I had gotten to the window and caught the shooters in the act and was able to get them in sight of my Tavor, would it have been proper to return fire?

Mind you, I do believe multiple lives were endangered as they were firing both directly and indirectly in the direction of multiple occupied homes.

You have hindsight now in that you know the shooters were up to no good.

    In your scenario above
-would you have know who the bad guy was
(What if that shooter was defending himself from a bad guy inside the bldg)
    - could you have made the shoot
(You planning on shooting thru your own window, ie damage it)

Iirc you can shoot to defend someone else when a felony is in progress. So you would have been somewhat ok.
Did you know at the time a felony was in play?
Did you manage to record it so it's not your word vs their?

In theory you can use a gun in self defense or for the purpose of defenging someone else from imminent serious harm. You would not have to wait for the felony to be in progress. Theoretically. Check your local city/county prosecutor's political affiliation/ideology prior to jumping into action to defend someone other than yourself/immediate family.

I have to make a lot of assumptions because they were gone before I could get eyes in things but we think they parked a vehicle at the green splotch, got out on foot and fired from somewhere in the the red blob at the blue spot. I'm the yellow spot and the pinkish purple is a burned out concrete husk of an old business where the only occupants are stray cats and Jedi's pets.

The second picture is my view with the targeted vehicle's location circled in blue and the proposed suspect vehicle parking location in green. The shooter area being somewhere on the street where next to the Jeep and other car.

I measured it on Google maps and it's only about 30 yards from my location to the wall of the empty husk.

I almost hesitate to ask Jedi, since I have not been able to participate lately, but now that the Jedi box is open, would Jedi care to expound on other of Jedi's kinks, not to be too specific. but, Hello Kitty and Legos.

Jedi: Consistently craps out a barely English word salad full of misspellings and bad grammar.

Also Jedi: Aaaaaaah, you spelled "Barbie" wrong!

Something happening a little after 11 pm. I-65 and 61st. Multiple sirens went by. Two stayed at the bottom of the ramp (61st west to 65 north), and one stayed at the top of the ramp.
