Scanner went dark. Not really surprised though. Last I had heard they have the birds up. Longuns and dogs inside the mall. Snipers on the roof as well.

Announcement went out they had info that 2 stolen cars were going to drive thru the doors of Macy's

Not even dark out yet. This has the potential to be ugly.

3 Lake Station cops just flew past my house Southbound in Hobart. They weren't chasing anyone so not sure where they're headed

I packed my first bugout bag today. Don't know when, where, or if we would need to go, but it's ready. 2 days of food, water, clothes, and meds for me, Mom, and the dogs, plus a gun and some ammo.

You dont need to go anywhere.
Yes some stores may get hit and looted but households are NOT on anyone's radar. Nothing of value in your house. Dont take that as an offense. But looters want brand new tvs, phones, laptops, etc.. not your dog food and used tv.

Also FB now has mis-information in it. People were posting that the Griffith strak is being looted. It is NOT. It's open as normal. My BIL just left it with some milk and cake.

Local cop said there is a rumor the riots are going to come out to rural America. After I got done laughing I told him the bus lines do not run here so I feel pretty safe. He said that they better bring their own body bags.

I'm calm but cautious. Can't hurt to be prepared. If it's not necessary, fine. I'm within a 3-block radius of St Anthony, three schools, and the Lake County Fairgrounds. You never know.

I just talked to a few coworkers from ABF Rt30 and 394 they said nothing going on there.Being between Ford Heights and Sauk Village I am debating taking a vacation day tomorrow.
