Watching How the West Was Won, The Civil War is just starting, Tears in my eyes as I think of how flippantly those words are thrown around these days.

Jedi does NOT want to have to depend on others.
So that is NOT an option at this time.
    Thanks anyways.

They torque them on with that freakin air wrench, without regard to us having to change a tire. The new threads on the replaced lug are probably sharper, and snugged up a little tighter. Take it back and have them re-torque to proper spec and then test with your four-way wrench before you leave.

If they know what they are doing, they should be using a torque wrench and tightening to a specified tightness.

Yeah he probably did over torque it.
It's a 1 man shop and he does do good work.
He stayed open late waiting for me that day as jedi called him.
He did not leave the shop till 8.30pm way past his 6pm closing time. So jedi cant fault him.

Just wondering if something is indeed wrong with that nut/bolt. Jedi cant have it like that due to all the driving jedi does.

A torque wrench is jedi's next purchase.

@da snob thanks for that advise.
I'll have to see what I can find online to buy just that.

Learned a lot at classes this weekend with IS. Massad Ayoob had a class up the hill. Truthfully, it must have been a pistol 1 type class because it sounded lame with probably 20+ shooters at the same time.

We sounded way more fun and WAY more shooting. Plus, their hours were shorter and odd.

They might have messed up the stud. Not the guys that helped you out, the guys who put it on originally.

So, you might need to have the stud replaced. If you replace the stud, you replace the nut also.
You don't want one damaged that will then damage the other.

Also :yesway: glad you listened to me about upgrading your tools.
Sorry that the one lug nut ruined your efforts, but you can see with the rest of your work that it was better than using the crap the manufacturer supplies with the car.
