Little thunderstorm moving thru the area now. Was clear as could be an hour ago. Just nipping us in North Hobart. Looks like could be heavier to the South for sure

Decided to make a stop at McD for an ice cream cone and can't.
Highland Police handcuffed and dragging McD manager out at the time.
People yelling at the police as well.
Jedi manages to get in and a scared looking young kid at the cashier tells me sorry but we are going to have to close for a while.
So no ice cream for Jedi.
    WHY?

All gunbunnies fault for this heat. Heat makes people go crazy!

You know, they have more than one McDs.

Apparently it rained/stormed in the central part of the county?

    Possible hail damage in Highland?

We heard distant thunder coming from the north but never had anything more than scattered clouds down here, no rain, no nothing other than humidity.

I realize that some of you do not like thunder, but I love it. About 7:30 some of the loudest bone rattling thunder I've heard started. It didn't last long and there was some loud but unimpressive thunder for the next couple of hours.

I found it very relaxing, but then, my white noise machine is a thunder storm.

We got some here is West Central Porter County. We needed it though. After a May where it rained most every day, June only saw rain a couple of times.

I grew up in a house with a leaky basement. Then I bought a house with a leaky basement. For 40 years, the sound of thunder and rain meant flooding and bailing. Other people say the sound of rain is relaxing and helps them sleep. It just makes me uneasy, even though I haven't had to worry about it in over ten years.

Railcats baseball game in Gary tonight.

Fewer than 900 of us in the seats and we tax payers paid $45,000,000.00 to build that stadium.

I doubt the ticket revenue covered the cost of the fireworks display after the game.

    BTW, the Railcats lost 13-2

Unfortunately, I think the excitement of the Railcats has wore out. I remember in the beginning the stadium would be packed.

The spare tire is NO LONGER on the front of the Ford Escape. :)

Now it is on a HitchGate, on the rear hitch.
The license plate is mounted to the hitch, since it was blocked by the tire.

I just need to put a new trailer 4 pin connector on the Escape, previous one melted. No cover.
I'll tap off that wiring for the license plate lighting.

This was SUPPOSED TO BE a one day chore.
    NOPE.
Several days. Spread across a week or two. I can't remember.

The hardest part... the old tire holder in the front hitch.
It was held on with a locking pin. One that tightened up, to keep it from wobbling.
    Well, it was RUSTED SOLID.
Took a lot of cutting with a grinder.
    Hammering and chiseling.
    And a bit of cursing.
But I got the bracket out.

I’d be happy to go to an INGO ‘Twigs & Berries” reunion at the Railcats but I’m leaving for a long trip. If we can do it when I’m back in town then you can count me in!

    We'll have to see.
My schedule is murder. But I'm starting to get Sundays off starting next week. I should have Sundays off for 6 weeks.
