And just general shooting the ****.

If you keep an eye on this thread, we'll often have something going on, a Meet & Shoot, or a Meet & Eat.
They are good ways to meet fellow INGOers in the area.

I live north of 30 in Chesterton. But my thug credentials are lacking. I grew up in Bartholew County. (Heard of that one?) I think that makes me more Hoosier than any wannabe Chicagoan from Lake County

bass pro and cabelas are $$$$ for guns.
i have never been to south county on us41 but have heard nice things about them. granted they south of us30.

westforth is nice just small compared to blythes.
blythes valpo and griffith are big and you can find a selection from $$ to $$$$. where as cabelas is $$$$.

I think I'm a revolver guy - if I have to pick one. 1911's are cool. I've never seen a Glock that I really loved.
BUT, I'm not a true gun nut, and only shoot maybe 5 times per year... because my neighbors live too close, indoor ranges suck IMHO, and the outdoor ranges are so far away.

Nobody actually loves a Glock.

They are functional. Reliable. Get the job done. People default to Glock because they are reliable. Like the high school floozy, not sweet to look at but got the job done.

There is a Blythes in Griffith as well. I usually get mine from there or Valparaiso store. Ammo I'll get occasionally at the Cabela's if they have a sale or at Point Blank. Ammo isn't badly priced there. Firearms aren't too bad but usually can be found cheaper.

chicago city council is working on a new tax for uber/lyft PER ride or per mileage. they say those services are causing more traffic and also the drivers dont get paid min wage so that is not fair.

not sure how a tax will be used to give it to the drivers. oh wait it wont.

Howdy sort of neighbor. I grew up in Decatur Co. and relocated up here.

Also you have Copper Customs in Valpo and there is another shop in Crown Point but I can’t remember name.
