Truth. A year or two ago when the ex and I went with some friends to a concert at the Chicago Theatre, we stopped to take a picture with the marquee in the background. Nearby, there was a guy holding a sign saying "I'm hungry." In the five or so minutes that we were there taking the picture, I saw at least 3-4 people hand him a five or a ten. He's laughing all the way to the bank at the stupid white people.

I once saw a guy begging after a game at Comiskey Park, and by the time my buddy and I got over to United Center he was already there with his same sign. Now, wait a minute...

Yep, they do make a bit, and outside big events they make a killing. They have been around since at least Victorian Era scamming and doubt it will end anytime soon
