Wife and I had to make a trip to lowes this evening for a new fridge as ours went out.

My dad went out for cigarettes one day, I’m still waiting for him to come back. Can you check and see if he’s at lowe’s too?

Our fridge was only 7yrs old. Luckily the veterans discount at lowes made it cheaper. Granted the fridgaire was also on sale till the 23rd and they will deliver tomorrow and take the old whirlpool with.

I keep knocking on wood every year for the furnace and water heater as they are close to 30yrs old. I do plan on buying a furnace outright and have a buddy who does HVAC come over and help install for a fraction of the cost.

When my water heater took a dump, I found out one morning before work walking past it in the dark in my socks. Yep, dripping right out the bottom

Thats how mine went as well. Bottom of the tank rotted out. At least that area of the basement was unfinished and the water went straight to the floor drain

Same. Only problem was the water heater only had one shut off valve at the time...the main. That was immediately fixed during installation.
