Ouch. That is something the infrared burner on my grill is great for. I only wish I had more than one of them in there.
Only a few brands have a good infrared burner, most have inferior infrared systems that don't do a good job. But it seems with most grills you get what you pay for.
I've been very happy with the AOG grill but its guts are showing age. Its used year around. Never covered. Outside is still solid and great looking. All the internal gas parts need to be replaced.
I have an old Weber down in the valley at the garden. I'm amazed at the condition that thing is in and its been the spokes-model of neglect. That is why I'm looking at Weber again. Honestly shocked by the low prices of the Weber units too. The Genesis models are less than half the price of the bottom end AOG grills, the Weber Summit models are still below the bottom AOG models and from what I saw today the Webers seem to be well built, solid units.
