I've just about given up on my lee safety scale. I re-calibrated it and set to zero slid it over to 4 grs and measured 4 times to double check my thrower. All was good and relaod 150 rounds. Checked the weight after every 50 rds and still good.
I decide to weight my 45's to see if I can find one that I might of miss charging, so I pull out my digital scale and start going to town. i find a few that weigh 315gr and most in the upper 320 to 330gr range. I pull the 315 apart and carefully dump the powder into the tray. I get 4.6 on the digital scale which is where I wanted to be with my 45's. I measure what I'm throwing for my 9mm and start getting 4.4 grs, so I put back on the lee scale and it shows 4.
I think its time for a better scale. I've seen the 505's online with good reviews anyone care to bet their lives on them before I go looking? I see a few on ebay going for 54 with free ship. I do not trust a digital scale anymore unless someone is willing to bet their life on it or have been using it for years and is still made. I've alwaqys had good luck with beam scales even in high school and college.
