Michigan City Rifle Club, Michigan City, IN will host an eight (8) hour long NRA Basic Handgun Shooting Course on Saturday 20 February 2016. The class will begin at 8:30 AM. The course introduces the student to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a handgun safely. Through this course, students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, and handgun shooting fundamentals. The class will include instruction in firing handguns.
Each student will receive a NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Student Packet which includes: NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure, NRA Basic Firearm Training Brochure, NRA Pistol Shooting Course Completion Certificate, and Basic Practical Rocker and Basic Practical Instruction.
Fees for the class range from $125.00 to $175.00, depending if you bring your own handgun and ammo or utilize our equipment. Fee includes light refreshments and lunch. Class size is limited and preregistration with deposit is required.
Michigan City Rifle Club is a non-profit 501 (c) (7) organization. The purpose of this organization is to encourage organized rifle, pistol, and other forms of shooting competition among citizens of the United States, and to further a more complete knowledge of safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as to improve marksmanship.
