    Some of us old timers, ahum, remember back at the start of the war in Europe, that would be WWII for those of you in Rio Linda, that the Brits begged for any kind of surplus weapon donations so that the populous could defend themselves from the Germans because weapons were in short supply.
    Next time they need not bother asking.

    I thought guns were completely banned in Britain. huh.

    Handguns are completely banned including handgun ammunition, I have a good story about that. Long guns for hunting are not banned, but heavily regulated. This info is from a friend that lives in Wales that we visited last year. He was telling me about going to the shooting range the last day people were allowed to own handguns. He was saying a lot of ammo was shot that day, thousands of rounds just at the range he was at. Then the next day your handguns had to be surrendered to the government.
