I just picked up an iPad mini yesterday. What are some of the must have apps that you guys are running? Mostly looking at productivity, gaming, word processing and spreadsheet apps.

As for productivity, I find "Evernote" to be very useful. It takes all of the notes I have on various files, e-mails, pads and snippets of paper and consolidates them all into one program, accessible from my PC, laptop, Android phone and iPad.

I love Evernote myself as well, I use it all the time. In fact I'm on my iPad right now using a Zagg folio case and bluetooth keyboard. Great productivity.

I really like WeekCalHD which is much better than the built-in calendar. I use Alarm Clock to wake my butt up in the morning too.

I've gotten to where I use WeatherBug more than Weather.com. Also, if you like listening to radio and/or recording for later listening--TuneIn Radio is pretty good. I use it all the time on my Iphone.

Splashtop for Remote Desktop access, Quickoffice for MS Office integration. I also reccommend the IPSC Shot timer app and Practiscore, a USPSA scoring app.

I also use Tonido on both iPad nd iPhone. It gives me access to my terabyte of music/movies from anywhere.

Pandora, netflix, ESPN score center, Angry Birds (for sure if you have kids), Zombie Lane (my go to game on my iPhone), ebay, craig's list, Google Chrome and facebook.

Those are the apps I use on my phone from home, the others I could name for my phone would be worthless to you.

Maybe a flashlight if you have your iPad in your hand and the power went out.
