What we have is a delivered report with no knowlege of what IS in it. We think we know what is NOT in it. That isn't a basis for everyone here to thump their chests and make fun of the opposition. And it isn't a basis for the opposition to make wild claims and accusations.
I will await the published report. Pretty much what I said a long time ago and didn't bother to waste electrons here speculating about it.
And nowhere is that intention to protect the citizenry more clear than in the rules governing grand juries. The federal justice system created grand juries so that evidence that was embarrassing or damaging to defendants could be weighed behind closed doors but never released if it did not rise to the level of provable criminality.
The Justice Department rules threaten any law enforcement officer or prosecutor with prosecution if they leak any proceeding that occurred before a grand jury. And the Justice Department rules governing grand juries unequivocally talk about the sanctity of protecting citizens who end up not being charged.
“The prosecutor must recognize that the grand jury is an independent body, whose functions include not only the investigation of crime and the initiation of criminal prosecution but also the protection of the citizenry from unfounded criminal charges,” the Justice Department rules say.
We know from statements the Justice Department made Thursday that grand jury subpoenas and testimony were so essential to the Mueller probe that nearly every one of the 400 pages of his final report contained some form of grand jury or classified information that needs to be redacted — i.e., protected from being used to level “unfounded criminal charges” against those not indicted.
The Democrats just want to lay eyes on the full un-redacted report to try and dig up any kind of tidbit of dirt that they can use to exploit for political purposes, even the grand jury testimony and classified information.. The Mueller report is opposition research to them.

Incorrect. Having in the collection of facts available, a summary that Mueller has undoubtedly read and has not publicly corrected, is an indication that the summary Barr released is not materially inaccurate. You can speculate that Mueller’s silence is for other reasons than the obvious one, but then that would be speculation with no basis.Kut is correct. Today is not any different that 2 years ago when Mueller began the investigation. Until a report is available to be read, there isn't anything to debate. It's all speculation with no basis.
What exactly are the Democrats doing for the good of the country right now? They've got the country in limbo trying to wreak havoc because they can't come to grips over the outcome of the 2016 election with some crazy ass, cooked up, never ending Russian "collusion" investigation that they won't let go of.That report has information on people that are not part of this 3 ring monkey circus. That info should remain private. This idiocy needs to stop. It is ripping this country apart.
I still remember listening to conservative talk radio when Bill Clinton was running for re-election. The guy was saying that it'd be a shame if Clinton got elected, only to be indicted when the Starr report was released. If Clinton hadn't done them a solid by diddling an intern, they'd have gotten nothing for their money, but even so, no indictment.
I expect the same this time. Anyway, the whole point of both investigations wasn't the outcome, it's the years of distraction. Impeachment or indictment is just gravy.
That’s presumably why it would be heavily redacted. To remove descriptions of unsupported accusations. Not sure why everyone wants the full report. I am sure there is plenty of "opinion" in there that people will take as fact.

Trump is trying to get things done. The Democrats are busy trying to “brain storm” untenable ideas like the “New Green Deal”Just an aside, This is the first time I have heard a lot of INGO complain about gridlock.
I hate the never-ending attacks on Mr.Trump, but he is still moving forward. He is actually the only (he is not really a politician) elected official that has stuck to his agenda and tried to keep his promises.
I like gridlock.

But unsupported is proof enough in the minds of deluded people.

At some point given the collection of facts available, “wait for all the facts to come out” becomes a desperate plea to cling to the hope that the thing one wants to be true could still possibly be true. We saw “wait for all the facts to come out” with the Smallot truthers when sufficient facts came out to manifest his guilt.
I guess we’re gonna have to put up with some collusion truthers. Because maybe there’s a fact of hope buried in the 400 pages that makes Trump guilty of a crime. And then once the report is released it’ll be, oh, now show us all the redacted stuff. It’s there. I know it must be there somewhere. The hope I clung to for the past two years HAS to be true. CONSPIRACY!
That's not accurate.... Mueller neither returned, nor recommended, indictments on either collusion or obstruction.
While correct, that is not clear that Mueller would not have done so given DoJ policy. The policy that states that the DoJ doesn't indict sitting presidents. So, once again were at the "wait and see" crossroads.
