I have been using the Meguires ceramic wax in a bottle. It’s easy to use, you pre wash, rinse, spray the wax on and rinse off. I absolutely love this stuff. I use it about every two months. And I wash my bike on the reg. What do you all use to keep your bike shining. I am still using old fashioned carnauba wax. I have seen some ads for F11 top coat. That stuff sure is pricey. I was wondering what you folks are using.
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna want one of these. Been waiting on Kawasaki to fuel inject the KLR for a few years now.
I'm gonna need for someone to go ahead and pick up one of these soon. Put some miles on, maybe drop it a few times? Season it up to be affordable for me in a few years?
Likely use it for a lot of the same riding I do now, with a bit more of a bend toward the dirt. I have pastures surrounding me that I could ride with a bit more of a dirt oriented bike. I run street tires on the Versys. They do OK in the gravel, but slip out from under quick in the grass and dirt. What do you plan to use it for? Some of the guys on the Honda forum where I am a member have had the KLR 650 and said it is great off-road but not so great on road. Twitchy, not great fuel economy, etc.
I have heard of Klock Werks brand. Let us know what you think if you buy one.I am researching windshield upgrades to direct the wind a bit more over myself and my passenger. I am liking Klock Werks. Going to give this some more thought and research before hitting the purchase tab on Revzilla this weekend.

Hell, I have fairly loud pipes on my Boulevard. I work 5pm to 5am. When I ride home in the morning I hit the kill switch a few blocks from the house and coast it into the driveway just to not be annoying to my neighbors. Probably not the safest thing but the roads aren't exactly packed with cars at 5:30 am, and all the lights stay on until in parked. Thanks to all who replied. I feel validated now. Glad to know it wasn't just me being old and crotchety. I mean I am old and crotchety, but at least that wasn't the only reason to be annoyed.
That's awesome chez!I don’t normally do group rides with riders I’m not familiar with, but it was an honor to be one of over 5000 bikes to escort this Marine home today.

Agreed! If it's a nice enough day to wash, it's a nice enough day to ride!WTF is the matter with you guys?
Oh hell no. Go ride the bike!
- Wiping bugs off?
- Washing?
- Waxing?
Roadway, gravel, dirt, grass ... your bike can ride on all those things and I'd rather get a scratch on my bike while having fun than sit at home washing, wiping & waxing (because that sounds like a SPA Day for the wimin folk)
And what is with CHROME and bells and loud speakers?
Seriously, plastic is far easier to care for, the speakers belong inside your helmet connected to a voice controlled bluetooth communication/infotainment system and bells belong on the front door of your house connected to a button.
Soooo,,, if this ride was Sunday, what ride did I see on Saturday going south around 465 on the eastside at around 1pm? It was a HUGE/miles long length of bikes with police escort. Also lots of flags on the overpasses/bridges which I assumed was 9-11 related.Last count I heard was over 9000 bikes
