Just a quick question for my Hoosier friends (the non-friendly part of INGO can answer as well ).
Is there any mandatory accessories you need to have in your vehicle in the state of Indiana?
I'm cleaning the car and making sure all the EU mandatory things are in the vehicle.
Most cars come with those things over here.Reflective vest and triangle, first aid kit.
It's also mandatory to have a breathalizer which I don't have and don't plan on having.
You can't get a ticket for not having one anyway.
If you're wondering if you're too drunk too drive you're probably too drunk to drive.
You can whoever get a ticket for not having your reflective vest or triangle (up to $440!) and not using them if you're involved in a car accident.
Some other EU countries require more things.Like having a reflective vest for each passenger (in Spain) or having a fire extinguisher (like in Belgium).
So is there any mandatory safety gear in Indiana? Or at the federal level?
