Hey guys,
I have never owned a 1911 pistol and am looking to get one but don’t want to break the budget. What are the best affordable options for a good 1911 out there?
Ronin would also work for me. I do prefer the no front slide serrations and carbon steel frame of the Garrison though. What no Springfield Ronin love?

I like the serrations. I want my guns to hurt me a little.Ronin would also work for me. I do prefer the no front slide serrations and carbon steel frame of the Garrison though.

My nephew bought one of these and I oiled it up and we ran around 300rds through it right out of the box.
I was surprised at how well made it is for the price.
Forged frame and slide, and a nice finish all for under $360
How much are you wanting to spend this is at the low side.
DO NOT BUY A CHEAP 1911!!!!As in most things in life, you get what you pay for. There are a few exceptions.
DO NOT BUY A CHEAP 1911!!!!
That $400 1911 will likely be an unreliable jam-o-matic and you'll spend just as much at a gunsmith to get it running right. So just pony up the $800+ for a reliable one.
Unless you just want a range toy. Then get whatever.
My nephews ran without any problems right out of the box with the cheap magazines they sent with it. At first I was going to bring down my Wilson Combat 1911 magazines, but my nephew wanted to see how it preformed with what they sent, and I don't blame him for that. These are the current rage, and made well from everything I’ve seen. Rock islands are cheap and 70 series.
I’d say colt but they’re hard to find currently, ruger makes a good one for the price as well. But those are more than double what the first two cost.
Springfield is always a choice for most but their politics make me shy away.
