    On a hill in Perry C
    Was out in the tool shed this morning and found this guy curled up in the rafters. He put up a good show when I tried to grab him but I knew it was all a bluff. Released him back by the shed so he could continue his mouse catching ways. :)

    That almost looks like a corn snake. Definitely one of the Pantherophis (rat snake) species.


    Very cool, we don't have those in my neck of the woods.

    I admire and am envious of your testicular fortitude. I enjoy snakes, but they have to be held by someone else, have a barrier between us, or at least 5 feet away if in the wild. It's one fear I can't completely conquer...

    I have a pair of 6 ft black rat snakes living in the crawl space- get to see them 3 or 4 times a year- almost always together- very docile, not to mention utilitarian. Caught them mating on the porch last week, we were all pretty embarrassed.
