Speaking of muzzleloaders, here's my 20 gauge Virginia fowler. Yep, it's a southpaw gun.
And here's my collection of WWI infantry rifles as it currently stands:
From top:
Mosin-Nagant M1891, Tula 1916, 7.62x54mmR
Mle. 1886 M93 Lebel, Tulle 1891, 8x50mmR Lebel
M1891 Carcano, Turin 1897, 6.5x52mm Carcano
Arisaka Type 38, Koishikawa Arsenal, 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka
Steyr-Mannlicher M1895, Steyr 1915, 8x50mmR Mannlicher
Gewehr 98, DWM 1906, 7.92x57mm
Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III*, BSA 1917, .303 British
Springfield M1903, Springfield Armory 1918, .30-06
Yeah, I'll be getting one of those eventually. Also plan on acquiring a Berthier Mle. 1916, a Ross 1910/Mk III, an 1889 Belgian Mauser, and a Turkish Mauser in 7.65x53mm (which will probably be nigh impossible to find).Man, your missing my favorite one! The rifle that was issued to more Doughboys then the 1903......US Model 1917(The American Enfield).

Anyway, here's an updated photo of my collection I took a few hours ago, since I now have a new, better-looking Carcano (Terni 1897) and a proper cleaning rod for my Gew 98.

Beech. I did spend the extra 20 bucks for the Special Select version. I'm really pretty happy with it. Their customer service was pretty good too. I called them a couple of times, and emailed once. When I emailed, they called me. I wasn't upset about anything... just anxious to get the rifle! That looks beautiful! Is that the beech or walnut? I was gonna hold off on buying one for awhile. I'm not so sure anymore. Thanks for posting pix!

Picked this up today at U.S. Defense Solutions in Greenwood (INGO Advertiser! ) No import marks, and the bore is outstanding. The rifle is in great shape, especially for being 95 years old, and got a great deal from the guys there as well.
