I saw a Tom doing a serious display yesterday down in souther IN. Too bad he was strutting for a flock of guinneas lol. I also saw 3 quail about a mile down the road. Glad to see there are a few around.

I'm serious when I say this: I'm willing to make fair and decent trades (home brewed beer, a hunk of beef from the freezer, a night with my wife, whatev...) if someone is willing to take me turkey hunting. I'm new (again) to Indiana, want to learn more about hunting, have shotgun and shells, gas in the Jeep, Realtree AP cammo, and willing to drive.

Live in Muncie. Have beer. Will travel.

Let's go shoot something that gobbles.

I went to my club's gun range last week, I was going to shoot handguns but I set up on the rifle line because there were strutting turkeys downrange of the pistol line and I didn't want to inadvertently hit one. Really. I began shooting and they did not scatter, they only moved about 30 yards or so into the woods and from there they began gobbling. I have not seen a turkey in full strut that close before, but I did not expect to see it on a firing line.

Haven't really had a lot of time to get out and scout for this season, but these pictures are looking very promising! Can't be any worse than this year's duck hunting for me. Haha
