Yes. But depending on the firearm it may not be safe to have one in the chamber. If it has a floating firing pin and nothing blocking it a hard jar can cause an AD.I looked but did not find if you can legally carry a loaded long gun in your vehicle in Indiana.
Yes. Unless you're driving through the school or the courthouse. The buildings, not the parking lot.I looked but did not find if you can legally carry a loaded long gun in your vehicle in Indiana.
In our country EVERYTHING is legal until they pass a law specifically against it.I looked but did not find if you can legally carry a loaded long gun in your vehicle in Indiana.
Forgot about the ATV.If you can lawfully carry under Constitutional Carry (mirrors the requirements to obtain a License To Carry a Handgun) you are good.
Edit: just read the long gun part. Not prohibited possessor = you good. There is a reference for hunting and ATVs that gets confused with for defensive purposes.
Not an attorney.Yes. Unless you're driving through the school or the courthouse. The buildings, not the parking lot.
Does that include driving slowly and gazing passed a zoo?Yeah, just don't be driving the car around looking at wildlife with that in the car... that may get you in hot water.

When I looked at the statute about schools it seems to indicate "school" means the building and the grounds. I presume grounds would include the parking lot. I've re thought picking up my kids in a vehicle storing any kind of firearm.
Did somebody say zoo?Does that include driving slowly and gazing passed a zoo?
Yes, school includes the grounds. But there is an exemption for vehicles. Look up IC 35-47-9-1, specifically (4) and (6).Not an attorney.

A parking law exemption was passed a few years ago. A few INGO members went and testified in support of this at the statehouse. Not an attorney.
