I have'nt either. That's not to say that I don't practice skipping past a few posts from certain posters from time to time but no official use of the ignore list as of yet.I have never used the ignore list.
I still dont know why people get put on ignore lists. The annoying white box that shows up in the post place is more annoying to me than what the person actually wrote.
I had a person on my ignore list for a whopping 1 day, before it drove me crazy and I reverted back.
I have never used the ignore list and have never PM'ed a mod over anything anyone on here has ever said to me in a post...
I got a temp ban one time and that's when I found out that people PM mods complaining about someone's words...I was so naive before my temp ban but Churchmouse simplekindofmansplained the whole shebang to me and I felt weird...Like I was in 5th grade and someone told the teacher I had called someone a doody head....
If it wasn't for CM emailing me and a couple of other guys stopping in to say they missed my posts my one foray into the drama of posting on gun forums (on a regular basis) would have come to an end....
Of course when I learned about ignore lists is when I realized why mrjarrel never responds to any of my posts....It made me sad...
But it was kind of liberating as well...
If posts have been "deleted" (never really deleted, just moved to where us mortals can't see them) it may appear like there are more pages than there really are.
Hr50's post made me a better reader. They taught me to slow down while reading so I make fewer mistakes. I'll miss him. Really. Hope it's only a temp ban.
Personally I think the people talking about how they can't stand his posts are to blame. HR50 brought character to INGO.
At first I was like WTF? But then I got to reading his posts. Hey, he posts like he posts. You don't like it. Don't try to read it.
But what he said was over the top. I'll still miss that practical reality kind of perspective.
Ditto, he took a lot of grief for his posting style. I liked him. And honestly, I'm not completely confident his style was an attempt to be cute. Not saying the ban wasn't legit.... it was, but he was kinda pushed over the edge.
That's where I'm at. I enjoyed his style and knowledge, but I think he just grew tired of it and sought the ban while getting it off his chest.
He actually was being helpful and dropping knowledge, before he lost it.
He posted a pic of himself on here once, if it really was him, he cleaned up pretty good...like Sam! He annoyed me some, but he kinda grew on me and didn't seem so bad. Must've been having a bad day. Too bad it's a perma-ban.
I have never used the ignore list.
Me neither, although 1 or 2 have come close to being the first!
I'm apparently not working hard enough
I am going to miss laughing at people getting butt hurt over Harleyrider50 posts. I myself enjoyed his wacky style, he just seemed like a genuine fella unlike some of the "I am perfect, know it all, do no wrong" types.
The post is worthless without names.
OK. Pudly despised HR50's posts and put him on ignore. Guess that means that I am not genuine and insinuate that I do no wrong and know it all.

I read most of HarleyRider's posts, and some I'd give up on halfway through, but I liked him, mostly. I don't see ever putting anyone on ignore, and I can't see ever PM'ing a mod to narc on another member. Live and let live, I say.
Like someone else said up-thread, INGO might have gotten a little gentler and easier for some, but it got a little more bland too.

Boy has it. MrJ (not banned, but been quiet), 88, Horn, SNS and a number of others... gone.
We need a sandbox, where members that are banned are solely restricted, just to see how they're doing. It would be an anything goes area, which probably wouldn't go over very well.
I'd vote for a free for all section where we can say/post anything with no fear of the ban hammer. Clearly, it would be NSFW.
