Just picked up my first AK..

I am sure that there are, but it would be cheaper to go to a gunsmith, or make a stopper yourself that allows you to only use 5

Mine came with one steel and 2 tapco plastic mags. It seems to run fine with the tapco mags. Anybody here ever have problems with them?

Yes, That is a good idea as long as it will fly for Game Warden. Seems like it would cause a simple magazine plug in a shotgun for waterfouling so total capacity is 3 is legal. And yes I'm from Michigan, just North of the border in case your waterfoul regs are different.

I have ran the Tapco probably twice now, no problems, but I havent had the chance to really torture test them. I gave a couple of nice steel ones to a friend and needed to replace them, and add a couple more to the collection.

Nothing wrong with a WASR. Not top tier, but so what? They are a fun gun, and not nearly as gawd-awful as some would make them out to be..........

Just order a bunch at a time, it saves money on shipping, and, I don't know if AIM is still doing it, but if you buy 10 or more, they go down to $8.95 ea. I have 2 WASRs and they have never let me down.

I have an AK-74 and it's a very accurate and cool little rifle... Ammo is very reasonable too.
