If you mean where did they get their values the answer is from corporations controlled by illuminists.
As a matter of clarity for me, what’s your usage of “illuminist?” I’ve not heard that one before.

Dude who EDCs one of these?
Dude, who has $500 to drop on one of these little alone to try and EDC one.
As a retired “aluminist” (30+ years with THE Aluminum Company), I suspect the Antifabas would want to ban aluminum because it is used to make the receivers of Armalite-pattern rifles. Why are these people so infatuated with Aluminum?
Aluminists? Do we have Cobaltists...or Molybdenumists?
What is it with Aluminum?

If we don't believe the majority of the people oppose this insane stuff, then we have to confront the fact our country is lost before we ever really had much of a chance to do something about it. And that no matter how you vote, no matter what you do, your children are going to be forced to survive through the Maoist revolution with your country supporting it.
That's a blackpill a bit too far for me.
John Astin's movie The Brothers O'Toole was full of molybedamnists.
Are they like Southern Baptists?
Can they drink and dance?
At the same time?
OK, honest question not intended to be contrary so here's the honest answer.
If you haven't heard it before then I'll start way back, presuming we're starting from scratch.
Painting with broad strokes, there's a clique of primarily transnationals that pretty much rule the western world through corporatism. If you want to get a handle on how, start with the meetings in Davos, look at the decades of documented content on Bilderburg, read up on the family lines. Look at the families involved with getting wars cranked up and financing the winners and losers. Look at how wars are used to modify societies. There are many names for the clique; internationalists, globalists, the 13 or the 300 (or some other number), Bilderburgers, the list goes on and on depending upon the researcher, the reporter or position the speaker wants to stake out. Some call them communists because of not figuring out that communism is a useful tool rather than the end goal. Some call them illuminists but the illuminists encompass a greater population; the functionaries that are actually in both government and in corporations (not unusual to be in both).
And let's see, going to the book shelves for suggested reading...

OK, not finding on the shelves my 1940 copy of Smokescreen by Indiana congresscritter Samuel B. Pettengill. It's 'round here somewhere. It's a pretty good read, describing how the country was going fascist (and from then on it was going to keep going in the same direction). And yeah, the Indiana congresscritter was right. After all, he understood what fascism is, exactly what Mussolini said as opposed to the goose stepping image baked into peoples' minds today.
Gee golly, there's a gazillion more but if you get started your interests will take you where ever they lead. And along the way you may develop your own label for them, perhaps one that won't get automatically edited out.

Isn't the term you're looking for "illuminati"?
Provoking the president into deploying the military is on the agenda.
Looks like it's on at the White House?
The heathens are attempting to create a autonomous zone, like in Seattle. They say they'll call this one BHAZ...
