Just heard back from the DNR. I sent them pictures of the OP, and the pictures I posted of similar looking deer.
Here's what they replied with:
"Thank you for the picture submission of your deer. In looking at the pictures, I believe that the doe is likely thin due to nursing. Additionally, I believe that the markings on the side are due to the transitioning from summer coat to winter coat. The red summer hair falls out easily at this time of year, and it is common to get pictures of deer with "streaks" where they have brushed up against branches, removing swaths of summer red hair along with it.
I would say to continue to look at your pictures and if you see any abnormal behavior or they don't start looking better soon, give us a call. Otherwise, I would bet that the deer in each of these pictures are healthy."
