    My math must be broken.

Assuming good behaviour, three years=eighteen months actual.

For non-sex offenses, divide sentence by 2 to get actual time.

Much of the credit time changed effective July 1, 2014 for many different offenses.

It's called judicial math. It requires a lot of smoke and mirrors.

He got maxed at 3. The judge could not give him any more, no smoke, no mirrors.

Kirk, I was going to walk through this in my previous post, but stopped when trying to figure out how he could be sentenced to 3/do 1 1/2 and be sentenced and back on the street inside the same year even if he were sentenced on January 1.

I know why. I'm just glad the IC code finally addressed some of that nonsense of calling it a 3 year sentence and really meaning a 1.5 year sentence. "Good time credit" is a joke, at least in Marion Co where no one ever loses it due to bad behavior. Just call it a 1.5 year sentence and be done with it. That's where the public's feelings of smoke and mirrors comes in.

Damn, another gone...I pray that the Lord takes his family in His arms and provides comfort to them.

I also hope the gloves come off now. Time to take out the trash.
The suspect is dead already. Only good thing to come out of this. RIP to the officer.
