Chicago conservatives are Indiana liberal(lite). My wife and her family don't believe me... until we talk politics, and I give my point of view.... they are from Chicagoland...

There are people in Chicago that are conservative or libertarian. Just not enough of them to make much of a difference. I know a number of them, including some that have changed their views pretty radically the last few years.

I am behind enemy lines at work. They think I'm a friend. There are many like me. We have access to their infrastructure. I'd say it would take someone to organize, and maybe a couple hundred good men. All you need is Chicago. The rest of the state would gladly live by Indiana terms.

It's always been my understanding that if you cut out Chicago then Illinois would be solid red every election. The whole state is pretty darn conservative except for Chicago. When I drive through the southern part there's all kinds of pro 2A signs along the interstate. Just your average fly over country people and lots of farmland
