Have you read the sticky. You will need to fill out a Form 1 and all the fun stuff that goes with it. Engrave your lower. Wait 8-12 weeks for the stamp.

if you choose to build it you might want to try here, it's what i did.
1. go to Ar15.com
2. go under "armory section"
3. go to "general class 3"
4. go to sticky that says, "complete guide of how to complete form one".
Wala months later you have a sbr

Thanks to everyone for there input/info on a SBR ,and yes I want it to be an AR ( IndyMonkey = I dont have anything under 16"/ couple stripped lower's that need to come to life.

Well, you can take one of your stripped lowers and make it pistol, fill out your paperwork and then enjoy the pistol until your stamp comes back.

If you purchased the lowers on a 4473s as rifles, I do not believe you can legally make them into pistols even though it would be difficult to verify.
