Well I would, if I could get over it having a dang forearm rail on it. I don't like rails on pistols..You'll probably like the new 92X Si then being SAO.
Yeah I know I am weird..
Thankfully my 951 (M1951) fills the role of SAO. I have a 1975 alloy version.. The last two years of 951/1951 production used the same lighter alloy used for the 92 series. It really makes the thing one light, handy, pistol... of all my Berettas, it is probably my favorite.
Yeah its got the early Beretta trademark. The crossbolt button safety. (Early Beretta 70 series pistols had them too), I kinda like it, its easy to kick off, but kind of a headache re-engage.
The other hallmark of a lot of 50s and 60s Berettas was not putting the model number on the pistol.. only the box and the manual had it. My 951 is another of these. So 951 or M1951? I dunno, I call it a 951.
