I have been riding motorcycles for 25 plus years. My wife been riding for around 8 years. I have been involved in one accident. I was hit head on by a Cadillac on Taft St. by DQ in Merrillville. It happened back in 1996. In 2007 my wife had a close call. We were heading out for a evening ride. I was on my Night Train she was on her Buell. A vehicle ran the stop sign, it was at a two way stop the direction we were riding did not have a stop sign. When she realized the vehicle was not stopping she hammered the throttle though the intersection and ended up hitting the curb, and dumping the bike in the grass. She was not hurt just a little rattled and very pissed off. My point is motorcycles are not dangerous. It is the people driving cars not recognizing motorcycles.
