We raised beef for many years. Tried the whole grass fed/finished thing. The flavor wasn't terrible, but it was noticeably leaner. The problem is it took forever and it was a lot of work.
I think the best combination is both grass supplemented with grain. Best of both world and doesn't take 3 years to finish a beef out.
