I am going to actually own an AR.
Don't get me wrong, I know all about them and have fired countless rounds thru them but I have never spent my own money on one.
I am not sure if I am going 5.56 for the son or 7.62 for me but the easiest way to get me to buy something is to tell me I can't.
Why the sudden change? To tell you the truth it is because I came across an Israeli model of the "SUIT" scope on an AR mount. These old Trilux scopes were all the buzz back in the day but being in the USMC meant you would only ever hear about it but never have one until their were some surplus broken ones to inherit.
So somewhere between scratching an ancient itch and thumbing my nose at those in society that feel "if something looks scary it should be voted off the planet" I intend to find satisfaction.
They haven't stop making "handled" uppers yet, have they? And like they say, AR 10's are 5 AR's safer than an AR 15...
