Only one way to know for sureGood bet they're not wearing level IV plates
Guess they should have packed the bat mobile full of coke or Heroin, then the Kali Kops would have let it slide.Cali lets large scale cartel fentanyl dealers go free, then sends detectives across the country to settle a rich man's business dealings?
Would pushing it into the ocean be cheaper? Can we just go ahead and build a wall around California ?
For civil matters?
charged him in California with two felonies -- Obtaining Money by False Pretenses, and Diversion of Construction Funds.
We interviewed the San Mateo County Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting this case.
Dan Noyes: "You wrote a letter to Racop in September of last year saying that there would be no criminal charges. What changed?"
Marie McLaughlin, San Mateo County Deputy District Attorney: "Additional investigation, the detectives were able to obtain search warrants and obtain additional evidence."
Not sure if I put this in the right area.
Kind of a "legal/law" question, and not "politics"... though I guess it could be.
Anyway...
How does this happen?
California sheriff and deputies raid Indiana business with warrant?
Huh?
I know probably 1 percent of 1 percent of the law, and most of that is probably wrong.
But.. is this right?
Oh.
And there is a batmobile involved.
Pretty sure he would lose by default if he didn't appear, or more likely, an arrest warrant could be issued by the California Court in the Criminal matter. They're trying to do this the courteous way, but there's always the hard way if he doesn't comply. IANAL though, far from it.So how does this work?
Cali is charging him with a state felony but did not take him with them.
So what if he does not go to court? Can Indiana force him to go?
OK but I guess my question is. Say the Cali court find him guilty cause he does not should up and they want to toss him in a Cali jail.Pretty sure he would lose by default if he didn't appear, or more likely, an arrest warrant could be issued by the California Court in the Criminal matter. States file extradition orders with other states all the time.OK but I guess my question is. Say the Cali court find him guilty cause he does not should up and they want to toss him in a Cali jail.
But he is in Indiana. Can they actually come and take him from indiana? Would not indiana stop it as it's not in their jurisdiction?

This ^^^^^^
Indiana would arrest on the warrant and place on hold. If Cali wants to extradite, then it's on them to come and get him. I believe there's a timeframe involved for how long Indiana could hold as well.
I could be wrong but that's my understanding, at least from 10+ years ago
