I don't know about noise, but it sure leaves a mark! Just got done marking the ones we could find...so far at least 75. Got company and had to head back to the house.

Mom, I thought you said you called the other people on the other properites to make sure they did not shoot you and your Husband? If that is what you did, then my reply was to be what kind of training do you have on the use of firearms? If I cant get my point accross, its my fault> I am recovering from a bout of dumbness due to seizsures.

Why would anybody need training just to ask people not to shoot at them?? :dunno:

I'm sorry if I am not understanding your questions and understand the seizures thing as my dad had similar issues after suffering mini strokes. I guess I am reading it the same as jet girl. Not sure what my background has to do with worrying about how others hunt and whether or not they are sure of their target before firing as I would be. I have been shooting since I was 12 so lets just say it's a pretty long time. I tell everyone I am 29 but that might not be totally accurate.

Yeah, didn't really care who was being asked... I was just curious why any training would matter just to be able to say "don't shoot at me".

    I'm still not understanding!
I know it wasn't directed at me, but I'm sure no apologies are necessary. We just don't know where your question is coming from, or how it relates to the conversation.

OK let me try one more time, but please hear me out. Say my neighbor behind me was to call me and ask me not to shoot him when Im out in my own back yard. I would ask him what kind of a idiot do you take me for? I would then explain to him that I have had years training in the service then more years as a escort for Space Command. Then I would ask him this question< wait for it> dont jump ahead< Wait for it>........... What kind of TRAINING did he or she have as far as SAFTEY TRAINING. Please remember Im not back to full motor skill due to a Grand Mal Seizures, so my spelling and typing sucks! I come to this site to learn and to pass the time untill I can return to normal. If I have angered anybody Im sorry.:hijack:

In keeping with this scenario...If you had already zinged bullets in their direction, it's still a legitimate thing to confront someone with.

She said she called The OTHER NEIGHBORS not the one doing the shooting!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't seem like trying to communicate with said neighbor has had much effect to date. Might just encourage him to go out in the backyard and start firing random rounds... :dunno:

I agree with your thoughts on credibility. I just don't see why things like her backstop are being questioned. If we had the other party or anyone else claiming she is a liar, then ok. I haven't read anything yet that makes me disbelieve her story.
We didn't have the other party from Wallet show up. We are on the other side of the double standard here.

Exactly what "aren't adding up" to you?
Too much talking, not enough doing. Among other things.

She said she called The OTHER NEIGHBORS not the one doing the shooting!!!!!!!!!

we have one neighbor who refuses to practice safe habits and has forced us to call the sheriff and dnr for assistance. We knew there was the potential for this to escalate the situation with him since talking with him directly had a similar result.

We attempted to have a conversation with him

My husband also was out in the woods when the shooting initially started and ran for the house after having a few bullets whiz past him.

He shoots all of our no trespassing signs/no hunting signs including the ones hanging on the fence (not just the ones on the trees).

We've done everything we can to make things clear for him including having multiple conversations with him.

My spot is easy to sneak into and he wanted me to make sure to wait until light so I wouldn't get shot accidentally. Heading out in a few. I think he just wanted to make me wait cause the last time he let me hunt, my deer was bigger than his.

I kinda see what you're saying, USAF. Maybe I can help you out here.

She's out hunting on her property, a very large property, which numerous neighbors utilize for hunting, as well as herself and her family. She called her neighbors to tell them that she would be out hunting, presumably to make sure that others did not mistake her movements for a deer's movement. Cover your ass.

    Thanks for the service, btw.

:rockwoot:We have a winner!! Thank you! With nearly 20 people sitting in tree stands hunting areas where they don't usually see us, I wanted to make sure they were awake and not trigger happy! We normally hunt another section but due to the increased shooting activity and DNR walking around, etc. that area is very disturbed with NO deer activity at all! As a result, we wanted to make sure that the other neighbors are aware that we may be closer to where they are hunting. We are also making sure to where LOTS of hunter orange. I really would like some venison for my freezer too!
