What I find funny is with all the accusations of leftist funding, it is the right base that is actually being mobilized. I hate conspiracy theories as they are typically products of ignorance but this would fit a narrative that this is doing more FOR Trump than any Democrat. This reaction is 100% predictable and no Democrat strategist would ever think it would have help them at all. While I do think the Republican Strategists are eating this up and using this to their benefit. Whip up their base and hope for the best at midterms.

An equal and opposite reaction WILL be achieved by the MSM as this plays out. And their timing is insidiously perfect. They're getting good at what they do. Imagine the coming optics of dusty, worn out kids dying of thirst outside our border while Trump plays golf. Divide and conquer from within.

For many years, many years it has been said that the comfort zone of many Americans will eventually allow for a cultural change, a political change....in essence - a bloodless coup. Our freedoms are not recognized for what they are and they certainly are not recognized for the great sacrifice that was paid for that freedom. People hand out our "freedoms" like candy, like it's nothing......they have no respect for what true freedoms are and the blood that was spilled to get them.

For many years the plan has been in place. Dilute the population with people who have no real appreciation for freedoms, as they were intended. Our education system has been an indoctrinating system fueled by the ideologies that support socialism, liberal socialism. Division within has been encouraged with greatest divisions experienced in the last 12 years. The left has slowly moved to the far left and has taken up the playbook of other countries that introduced socialism / communism to their country. Healthcare has been polluted. Education has been polluted. Constitution has been polluted. Government has been polluted. Citizenship has been polluted. Fundamental morality has been polluted. The list is long. As proud as I am to know that my ancestors were from another country, I despise what immigrating to the great USA has become for many many people.

This November, we will be facing a crossroad. To support the bastardized ideology of the left, the progressive - socialist Democrats or do we support the constitution and stand firm against attempts to change our foundational values.

Whether you support Trumps or not.....whether you support Braun or not.....whether you support the GOP or not.....there comes a time when voting FOR something is all you can do to PREVENT a bad situation. It's not a compromise, it's a tactic....a means to live another day in the blood stained freedoms we have today.

Get out and vote.....either vote FOR the republicans or vote AGAINST the democrats / socialists. Either way, now is the time to take that stand; while we can.

There are certainly those but there are a lot more that just want to feel or seem to be compassionate... so long as someone else foots the bill for their "compassion". That type doesn't care whether this country fails or succeeds, they just want to feel good about themselves and that is the prism they view everything through.

Anybody remember this story? It was only a couple of years ago. IRS Commissioner said we are paying $4B/yr in fraudulent tax returns to illegal immigrants.

I'll address this... the rest of this thread seems to have run its course, I have actual work to do.


Why hasn't congress stopped giving CTC to immigrants? I don't know. The republicans made yuge changes to the tax code, but failed to address this. Why? I don't know.

Therefore, there's nothing illegal about an ITIN filer from claim CTC. Congress has said it's just as legal as you deducting your mortgage interest and gambling losses.


I can't speak for these over-priced fast-refund places, but VITA's policy is that the filer must have all the paperwork for each dependent - typically, that means the filer must have SS cards for each child.

And if it smells fishy - I tell them to pound sand. I have no incentive to complete their return (unlike an for-profit shop). My #1 goal is accuracy and fairness for both parties. I want the filer to pay all the taxes they're required to, and get all the deductions the IRS offers them. I don't make the rules, I just study and apply them correctly and ethically.



Here's the fix: flat tax. Eliminate all the deductions and credits. But nooooo - the Republicans ... "We cut your taxes! ...ignore the fact that the system is still way too complicated and filled with incentives to cheat."

The fact is, Trump failed in his goal to simplify the tax code.
