I'm pulling for zombies to win this one.Zombies or a big earthquake maybe both?
Still not reaching the level of a declared emergency. This is an overreaction by a dictator. He still believes he has covid authority.Speedway yes, but not when every other small and large burg is doing the same thing all over the state. Imagine every town in the state having the same issue at the same time. The path of the eclipse, partial/total is ~115 miles wide. When the race is over the people can leave town. This time they won’t be able to. The roads will be jammed. Just a thought.
Apparently the quakes have started already, two in the last 3 days. The one in NY is apparently by divine intervention as per MTG.Zombies or a big earthquake maybe both?

Just see how much the moon's gravity affects ocean tides.Apparently the quakes have started already, two in the last 3 days. The one in NY is apparently by divine intervention as per MTG.
11' to 53' is quite a lift of the ocean, it also affects the earth's crust so it could naturally cause some exaggerated plate tectonics. (this is why I call BS on the panic that ocean levels are rising a few cm)The height of the tide difference ranges from 3.5 meters (11ft) along the southwest shore of Nova Scotia and steadily increases as the flood waters travel up the 280 km (174 miles) of shoreline to the head of the Bay where, in the Minas Basin, the height of the tide can reach an incredible 16 meters (53ft).
In fact, twice a month, during new and full moons, the moon, earth, and sun are aligned and the gravitational pull of the sun adds to that of the moon causing the ocean to bulge a bit more than usual.
snowIt’ll probably be cloudy and raining.

On top of that, the sun's gravitational pull will be added to the moon's during this event.
Does the Total Solar Eclipse Impact the tides?
On Monday, August 21st, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the United States and the last place to experience totality will be the South Carolina coast. Many folks looking to take in totality will avoid highway traffic by hopping on their boats and cruwpde.com
Agree, when the tornado sirens go off I just pop open another beer and kick back.I may be wrong, but there seems to be a correlation of 1.00 between the level of panic politicians push, and the actual event.

My son and I are coming from NWI to Franklin. I spent $675 for two nights at a hotel. Ugh. My son is autistic though and he just loves this kind of stuff. I'm leaving Sunday and coming back Tuesday. I'm debating whether to come tomorrow instead and possibly avoid as much traffic on 65. Idk if it will make a difference or not. I'm dreading the traffic and all the people but my son's joy is worth the stress.Last eclipse I was under its path in Kentucky. After it was over it took me two days to get back to Indy. You have no idea. Estimate is 100,000 are expected for Franklin.
Might look at US 41 or SR 63 don’t know you’re particulars but may be worth a look.My son and I are coming from NWI to Franklin. I spent $675 for two nights at a hotel. Ugh. I think the worst traffic will be right after the eclipse. I got to the spot to watch last time on the day of the eclipse without much trouble. My son and I are coming from NWI to Franklin. I can see the headlines now. "Indiana man shoots at Eclipse; tells it to get off his lawn."So are we supposed to go out and shoot rifles up in the air for this?
