Living in NWI I'm not much in tune with the Indianapolis political situation. Is there any chance a Republican could win the next mayoral election down there or is it, like Chicago, a lost cause?

    .
Some years back, an Indianapolis policeman was killed by a recently paroled felon who bought a stolen gun from another convicted felon and paid for it with illegal drugs. Listening briefly to some noise about it at work I asked what more gun laws could possibly help in cases like this as so many existing laws were broken in commission of the crime. At first I heard the standard leadership statement, "it's unacceptable", so I asked, "what's your solution?" I was told nobody besides the police or army should have guns. I said eliminating guns in this country would be very difficult if not impossible, he asked my solution. Mine was to hang criminals from light posts in their neighborhood after a fair trial. It's still my belief that my solution is easier and more effective.

As you can imagine the conversation went south from there.

We have so many dyed in the wool lever pullers here in Marion Co. that any other candidate without that "D" up his tail pipe stands no chance. There was a crap load of UAW influences here for years. Union money jobs and union mind manipulation.

The violence prompted a statement from Mayor Joe Hogsett:

"Over the last year, we’ve seen far too many tragedies occur when the proliferation of guns has collided with interpersonal conflict."

Joe is the kind of sack of **** that passes as "leadership" in today's world.

In his short squat in office, he has done plenty to set back Indianapolis more than 20 years.

Hey Joe, go **** yourself with a knife all the way to Hell.

Hammer and Nigel will be discussing this issue on WIBC. They'll also have on the head of the police union.

On the air a few minutes after 3:00...

Im a card carrying, shirt wearing member.

And if you think you have the availability to go to the statehouse and speak, or at least sit in the peanut gallery with the mommies in their red shirts, buy a 2A Project Tee. Guy said one of the reasons he had those blue shirts printed is to be able to counter the mommies during the testimony.

During the testimony of gun bills, when you watch you almost always see a handful of women in red MDA Tee shirts behind the podium. So even if they dont speak, its an implied support of the anti gun laws. He wants members to show up in their shirts to show the committees and other legislators that there are serious folks supporting the other side too.

Member. I've know Guy since 7th grade and he has always been a stand up guy. Unless I want to lose my job, I can do NO activism. Looking forward to retiring from there soon (but not soon enough) though :rockwoot:

There are some really well informed members on this site.

The issue is personal time. That can factor in and is one of the reasons we get beat back by groups full of non-working socialists with nothing but time and no honor.
We as a group are supporting the system. Part of the system. Working our hours and paying the bills incurred form living the dream as intended.

Not making excuses here. Just stating the obvious.
You're absolutely right. If I had the money to be able to not work, I would make advocating for the 2A and removing these worthless politicians from the rolls my main mission in life.

When you have ALL day to be at the church organizing and preparing to march/protest/shop for big screens on our dime it is far easier to get stuff accomplished.

    Us. We. this group.
We work our tails off sometimes more than 1 job.
We buy a home and maintain it.
Same with our cars/trucks paying for them and the plates/insurance etc.
Oh, and we have all the credentials to actually drive.
We raise our kids and provide for their needs.
If we are lucky we can squeeze in a weeks Vaca here and there.

We have no time. Maybe a Saturday afternoon on the steps of the capital bld. to advocate for the 2nd where we are villainized by the same press dorks that see the coalition as a positive. Who wants to stand up against the sheer force of the :poop: storm we would endure. The MSM has been weaponized against us.

Prove any of my statements wrong "PLEASE"

More like when the proliferation of criminals has collided with do-nothing prosecutors and judges.
    This.

The suspect in the quadruple murder this weekend (Malik Halfacre 09/14/1995) was charged in Marion County with shooting a guy 5 times in 2017. In 2018 after serving less than 7 months, Prosecutor Emily E. White and Judge Marc Rothenberg dismissed the attempted murder, aggravated battery and carrying a handgun without a license charge and accepted a plea of pointing a firearm. He was ordered to be released from jail ordered to serve 6 months house arrest and given a $185 fine. He even violated his probation twice with no consequences. The case summery and sentencing order that was signed off on by Rothenberg is available on mycase.IN.gov if you want to see for yourself. (Oh and the ironic part is this same judge happens to also sit on the state Ethics and Professionalism Committee !)

If anyone other than the shooter is to blame for this, its the spinless indy court officials that decided that an attempted murder should be pled down to a level 6 felony. The fact that mayor Hogshi* would dare to politicize a shooting that wiped out 3 generations is sickening. That animal should have been in prison, not on the streets. I feel sorry for the surviving members of that family, because the impotent criminal justice system failed them and their community.

Does anybody know if the alleged murderer was wearing a mask?

I caught a snip of a video of his latest visit to custody. I noticed he could not keep his pants above his knees, but didn't notice of he had a mask.

I replied to him and very respectfully informed him his view was flawed and why. I used it as a teachable moment for him.

I'm sure it fell on deaf ears. But come election time I'll be sure to remember his name.

None of these jackasses are going to listen to words. None of them care to debate.
They want to take the first shot at you and your family and be shielded from any and all repercussions.

The only way they're going to learn their lesson is by applying the same standards they apply to us, to them. Unbridled, unapologetic, and unreasonable force.
