So I was pretty set on a Glock 19 MOS but have been thinking about the VP9 MOS instead. My really only hang up is I dislike at the end of the slide near the striker where those tabs stick out. I assume they are there to help with racking but I just don’t like the look. I heard in a video that you can remove them but I can’t seem to find anything that says that, nor a picture or video of them removed. Does anyone have one that knows, or a post of a picture or video?

I took them off of my VP9 and VP9sk. Remove the rear sight and they will slide up and out. Not required but for a more finished look hkparts.net has fillers you can put in their place.

They are definitely removable. I like them personally and wish more pistols had them. They do make racking the slide easier and aren't obtrusive.

You could also sand them down with a Dremel tool if you just didn't want them sticking out.
