With all due respect, could it be that you are over thinking this? I say this because I am guilty of the same thing for such occasions. What ends up happening to me is that I set up this perfect setting and than any deviation feels like a big let down. Pick one that sounds good and enjoy the time with your beautiful wife!
you just can't go wrong with Ruth Chris downtown. Best fillet period!
I would recommend Morton's. My wife and I have been twice for anniversary dinners and we have not been disappointed. Last time we told them it was our anniversary and they gave us free dessert and gave us a nice picture of us at dinner. If you go all out (drinks, appetizers, etc.) expect to break the $200 mark.
All I'm gonna say is this- this is your 5th anniversary. God willing you will have many, many more. Don't set the bar to high, too early or you'll be stuck leasing a private jet to Monaco for hors d'oeuvres by 15.

I guess I should have read all the previous posts before submitting a reply. I have never been to Cerulian's but my co-worker who is sitting next to me went just last saturday, he says the food was very good and it was a very different experience. He had the monkfish and it was delicious. Not much for a romantic evening though, he says the place is very contemporary.
Take a huge chunk of salt with Yelp. Some of the reviews are OK, but too many are just moaning and *****ing by buttheads. Urban Spoon does a better job.if you have a smartphone, grab the app yelp. it lets you organize by price. i didn't necessarily see anything on your list i'd consider fine dining tho.
