Sorry for the delay. I had some business to take care of. Trying to sell off some things to afford a 9mm carbine. I will post on that later.

I've heard some say that, according to the Indiana Constitution, Article 12, Section 1, we're all members of Indiana's militia.

Right now, I just like to think that I'm a responsible citizen. Perhaps one day the State will call upon all of us for our service.
    Interesting read. Thank you

You don't need 30 rounds. True.

Need has nothing to do with it. The point is that YOU, the possessor of liberty, decide how many you WANT and proceed according to your free will.

No one NEEDs a 50" plasma, or 400hp, or more than 1200sq ft.

Need's got NOTHING to do with it.

This is good food for thought. I will knock that around a bit. Thanks.

As for being a troll, believe what you want. The truth of the matter is that I have been a 2nd amendment rights advocate for all my life, whether you choose to believe that is on you. However, there are limits. There are limits to everything. As I mentioned in my OP, I want a high capacity magazine, but other than "Because" I don't have a good reason. If I were asked by someone that has not been around guns, or is in favor of limitations, what is an answer to give them that will not elicit the same responses, but from the other side as some of these. If a liberal atheist from New York asks the question, and I answer "It is a God given right" I would not be surprised if the response were similar to
For some reason this thread made me think of this:

    I'm pretty sure it does.

This is the first time I have ever wanted negative rep.

    Or this:
Agreed without reservation. He definitely makes a fine argument for negative rep!

    Or this:

If someone disagrees with you, you might want to work a bit harder to prove your point instead of calling out "Troll" Just saying.

I am trying to keep up with the posts, but by the time I construct a response, a dozen more pop up. I am not intentionally disregarding any, so I apologize in advance if some think I am dodging.

IMO I don't believe the OP is even a gun owner at this point. Just another "media specialist. Too many of these folks on INGO these days. Unfortunate.

Never Argue with an IDIOT...they always bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!!!!!!

Because I disagree, I'm an idiot? Interesting.

I will be happy to take a picture of the ones I have now. Like I said in the OP, and in my introduction I hope to purchase a Sig P6 in the near future. However, I really like the 9mm carbine. I have been reading a lot on this forum about the various manufacturers. Hopefully I can get enough posts soon to spend more time in the classified section.

OP - As others have said, I want high capacity mags in case multiple intruders attack and for when I go to the range I do not have to spend all day reloading. If you are truly looking for arguments to use against the anti gun folks, simply tell them to stop using emotions while trying to take rights away from you.

Because we are not serfs, through out history a ruling class has always tried to make it easier to control a "lower class" by restricting arms, a serf was not allowed to have arms equal or better than the class above him .. The 1776 revolution was not the first war over this issue, but we are the first county to state that all people have an equal right to arms.. It is very clear in the writings of the people who voted for the constitution & promoted it to the state that it was military level arms that the people would have..

You are a Second Amendment advocate yet are not willing to use principle as an argument? You do not make the distinction between a right and a privilege, or the threat that compromise represents for the Constitution in its entirety? That leaves you with arguing emotion and 'need'. If you accept those preconditions, you might as well concede up front.

Proper limits come in form of consequences for misuse. How would you like the argument that you (and all other males) should be castrated preemptively in order to prevent rape? After all, this makes as much or more sense than disarming people who are in the habit of following the law.

It is incumbent on the ignorant to learn, not on the rest of us to accommodate them.

We have already dealt with the expression 'God-given rights'.

The fact that your objections have been addressed adequately and rather than even acknowledging those answers, you simply keep repeating the same horsesh*t, you give the distinct impression of trolling.

Now, do you really want answers to your questions, which have already been given, or are you simply going to keep making things up on the hope of finding one that stumps us. I am tired of playing this stupid game. If you want to participate in this community that is great. If you are here to dick with us, why don't you just go to Huffington. Based on the arguments you have raised, it seems a much better fit.

And yet you dont understand that the 2A is NOT about hunting but about protection from tyranny? :dunno:

You need as many rounds as you can get in your magazine because that's what the US military is using. It's pretty clear to understand.
The reason is not "because", that's the reason but you refuse to understand it.

Also like some have said, because you dont think that you have a need for something doesn't mean you should take it away from the people who understand they NEED it.

A better man than I. I'll say it again, he's an idiot.

I would like to know from the OP how a standard capacity magazine ban will help reduce or end gun violence and shootings USING logic, common sense and facts.

The problem with needs is that it's subjective. I can come up with a list of things that you don't need. After all, who needs thirty round magazines? Honestly? No one needs them, but where does it stop? Who needs semi auto? Who needs pump action? Who needs fifty caliber? Where does it stop? Shall not be infringed is clear cut, no arguments. When you or anyone else decides what I do or don't need, then the second loses it's meaning.

No legitimate argument in the history of humanity has begun with this phrase.

Here is an article on it. However, I concede that the point I was trying to make is not supported by this data. Gun related deaths will surpass auto accidents as the number one case of non-medical related deaths (cancer, for example will continue to be higher) My bad for the misinformation.

Do you even understand the concept of a projection? Mitt Romney was projected to win the presidency.

Not to mention there are so many flaws in that article that I can believe the author didn't choke on them.

car deaths falling below gun deaths has more to do with improvments in car design than gun issues..
just about any car death is a crime or accident, some gun deaths are lawful intentional acts.. such as police shootings & self defense.. in those cases the gun worked as designed..

Quick semi-related questions. What is a "rep"? In the classified section what is "SPF"? Not trying to side track, just saw a couple people mention "rep" and am not familiar.
