So, what laws, other than confiscation and mandatory buybacks, did the UK and Australia pass in response to mass shootings, and intended to prevent mass shootings?

None. But the quote doesn't suggest that we adopt their solutions; it only states that we know it's not an impossible problem.

Both Obama and Hillary have said we should adopt things similar to the UK and Australia. No getting around the fact they cotinine to say that and the reality of what happened in the UK and Australia.

The buybacks were mandatory. The tight regulations going forward were no more guns.

    Yes. Like that^

BTW Hildog went after Bernie on guns today.
Bernie somehow ended saying that Bill Clinton's actions in the 90's were reprehensible.........Hells yeah. This might be getting good.

I think Sanders would be better on guns than Clinton, but since this is Indiana, it's going to be all wrapped up by the time we get to vote anyway.

So, you would have us believe that it is mere coincidence that Obama referenced the two, specific countries that implemented those two, specific methods of gun control?

That much cognitive dissonance would give me a headache.

Both of them are peddling repeal of the law (PLCAA) protecting gun makers and retailers from an onslaught of lawsuits. Without that, the firearms industry would be bankrupted by your fellow fliers in a few years anyway.

If you think they wouldn't implement "their solutions" here at their first opportunity, you are sadly, very sadly, mistaken, and too heavily invested in their BS.

Good answer. A total ban on firearms is what "they" want, period. There is no crapping around here with this. Anyone who thinks the 2nd Amendment is up for discussion, has already made up their mind to undermine it. :twocents:

I think Sanders might be better than Hillary on gun control... that's like saying that Ted Kennedy will be slower to jump on a 25 year old willing intern than Bill Clinton... either way, it's gonna happen...

What if they got that repealed, started suing, but then, gun owners started suing the people doing the suing?
Instead of the gun manufacturers running out of money, everyone would run out of money.

Can not say what came to mind here.

I would have to ban myself.

    Can I even do that.

    :yesway:

I would guess that such thoughts do not reflect well on the honor of the source of this nonsense, his mother's species, or thoughts regarding his longevity and prosperity?
