my is id go springfield a1 myself...although the matchmaster in the movie `wanted` is nice looking but looks dont mean nothing when it counts
but its what you feel works best for your needs and finances
The old 70 series Colts are nice, I have a 30yr old Gold Cup but it is no where close to stock. I had a Kimber Gold Combat and a couple of Super Matches that were nice guns, they were very reliable and the SM's were very accurate. I sold all my Kimbers after I bought a STI Sentenial Premeir, I really like the STI. It has a fully ramped barrel, Night Sights and hard chrome from the factory. The Kimbers are nice but the fit and finish on the STI is better in my opinion. STI has quite a few different models both single and double stack, all of the STI's except for one of there low dollar single stacks are made in the USA.I don't think you can do better then STI unless you buy a Wilson or Brown custom.
