I'm not a 1911 guy. I do appreciate the history of them, and while at the range with my 6yr old yesterday morning as we were leaving a fella approached me and asked if I wanted to see his Ft Wayne built 1911. I had never heard of SB before that moment. Until then all the 1911's I had held were cheap ones I'd fondled at gun shows. I have never held a 1911 with such tight tolerances and beautiful finish and machining as what I did yesterday morning. The pictures I see now on his facebook page and the website, do not do it justice. It must be viewed and handled in person.
A thank you to the generous anonymous gentleman. Indeed folks, the SB is a work of art.
Beautiful, Quality-Built 1911's that are also Locally-Built !
I'm thinking that I'll HAVE to own one of these.
I'm hopeful that, by then, you'll have a finger grip, round-butt framed HD version (full stainless) Commander in your lineup, preferably with aggressive styling/serrations/checkering.
