I owned a 16-40 LDA full size, did not like the feel of it at all (I am a big guy with big hands) I sold it and later bought a P10-45, right here in the INGO classifieds, It feels great and shoots great. My son, who is considerably smaller than me also said it fit him very well, but it is very loud. If you are comfortable with a single stack 1911 you might not be comfortable with the feel of a double stack.

I have rarely seen Paras around here, new or used. I don't know for sure, but you might have some luck at a gun show where there are many vendors.:dunno:

I got a Rock Island widebody at Bradis a few years back.
It shoots great, but the specs are a bit off compared to my Colts.
Ergo: The back of the slide and frame are off a bit from the Colt specs.

I am also looking for a para widebody. I got a nice Colt series 80 slide with a Schueman hybred comp for a song back when you could still get such things on e-bay and I am looking for a wide body frame to slap it on as a start to working up a race gun. (It doesnt fit the RIA due to the above issues, though a good gunsmith could make it fit)

Anyone shoot one of the para LDA single stacks? I Have been thinking of getting one of the 4" ones for the Wifey in .40 OR 9MM
